Welcome:- Representatives from Southwell and Nottingham Diocese attend the Emergency Planning meetings in order to remain up to date with crisis developments and to build links with community agencies.

B) How the City is arranged

A) The County of Nottinghamshire has six Borough authorities and has 27 main 'Rest Centres' available within its catchment area. Each Borough meets twice per year to review the emergency planning incidents, plans, procedures and reflects upon new issues. Officers from all the emergency response agencies involved, meet together at these times and so ensure optimum discussion and networking in respect of such matters.

• Sutton in Asfield and Mansfield
• Newark and Sherwood
• Bassetlaw
• Rushcliffe
• Gedling
• Broxtowe

 B)The City of Nottingham is a separate authority.It has 7 main 'Rest Centres'. It convenes two meetings per year to review the emergency planning incidents, plans, procedures and reflects upon new issues. Officers from all the emergency response agencies involved, meet together at these times and so ensure optimum discussion and networking in respect of such matters.

 The City, on account of its size, has involved a wider commercial response from local businesses especially in respect of the Victoria Centre and the Broadmarsh Centre.
