Southwell & Nottingham Diocese is a great place to be in ministry for mission! We have generous churchgoers, lovely churches and our cathedral is a gem. It’s a varied and exciting area to live in, with excellent access to other parts of the UK. We take care of our clergy with good quality vicarages and supportive deanery colleagues. NEWARK ARCHDEACONRY VACANCIES: Bassetlaw & Bawtry Deanery Chaplain, North Notts FE College in Worksop (0.5) an exciting opportunity to pioneer a fresh mission opportunity in the diocese. To be linked to 0.5 parochial appointment. To be advertised in the Church Times later in October. The Retford Area Team has a number of Team Vicar openings and possible combinations: Ordsall, the Elkesley Group, the Sutton cum Lound Group, Retford St Michael - great opportunities to work with a family of town and country churches already on the move. For each of these posts good vicarages are available in pleasant surroundings with access to facilities and transport links. The Retford Area Team of clergy colleagues is now well established under the leadership of Canon Tony Walker (01777 703800) who would welcome informal enquiries. Newstead Deanery The post of Team Rector of the Hucknall Team Ministry becomes vacant later this autumn. The Bishop will be looking for an experienced and creative priest to lead the team in mission and service including a major commitment to local schools. This is an outstanding ministry opportunity based in the town centre church of St Mary Magdalene. The ministry profile will become available in November but Archdeacon Nigel will welcome informal enquiries/suggestions.
