1-19  Jean Lamb presents The Way of Priesthood exhibition – at St Martin’s Church Bilborough:  Exhibition workshop for children £1 on Saturday 21st November 10-12noon – called Painting Jesus; Open day on 7th November 10-4pm and Schools day 11th November 9-3pm. 1  All Saints Church Cotgrave 6pm - Commemoration of all Souls - a Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving, an opportunity for those who have experienced bereavement to come together with others who are sharing the same experience to draw strength from the presence of God and from one another.

7  Southwell Minster Craft Fair, 10am-4pm. Over 60 specialist craft stalls, including ceramics, jewellery, glass and furnishings in the beautiful Nave of Southwell Minster. 7  Music and Readings for Remembrance. 7.30pm, St Peter's Church, Nottingham. Choral music sung by the excellent local choir, Voces Raptorum. The concert will also feature a formal Act of Remembrance, as well as the world premiere of the Requiem by Anglo-Sri Lankan composer, Benjamin Ponniah. In aid of the Poppy Appeal and the St Peter's Organ Appeal. Tickets £5 on the door or from the parish office  0115 948 3658.

8  Music in the Great Hall 2009 - Supporting the work of Southwell Minster Choir Association. 8pm, Great Hall, Southwell Minster. David Soar baritone & Philip White-Jones piano. WNO Baritone David Soar returns with a programme to include Schubert’s Schwanengesang. 8  St John's, Carrington church & community centre. 6.30pm. The Rt Revd Tony Porter, the Bishop of Sherwood, will preside at the great Mass of Rededication. The new altar will be consecrated, the community spaces will be blessed, the organ will be blessed. Everyone welcome – no tickets necessary.

10  Heads and Governors Away Day.

11  St John's, Carrington church & community centre open all day for visitors to call in. Mass at 10am, poetry readings during the day, refreshments available.

14  St John's, Carrington church & community centre ‘civic' and community reception, attended by the Lord Mayor and other community representatives, and by representatives of any charities and grant-making bodies. 1pm.
