For those who want to deepen their own spiritual journey and their ministry to the journey of others, by drawing further on the Christian spiritual heritage.  Examines and maps different spiritual traditions with an opportunity to engage in depth with some authors from a variety of traditions, e.g the role of the asceticism, especially the desert fathers’ struggle with evil; the original and significance of Christian mysticism; Celtic and evangelical traditions, women spiritual writers, Ignatius, Merton.  This unit will help develop skills of discernment in the theological and pastoral evaluation of these resources for Chrisian life and ministry.

Do you sometimes wonder about other people’s faiths or belief?  Why people dress differently to you?  Why they eat different foods or sometimes fast?  Why they pray during the day and not just on Sundays?  Just a few of the many questions often asked of us at the InterFaith Council.
