Stephen also holds office as a Recorder – a part time judge. He is married to Margaret, who is a nurse currently working as an academic at Coventry University teaching and promoting research into nursing practices in conjunction with Walsgrave Hospital.

Amanda Redgate (42) is a commercial property solicitor in Nottingham.

She said, “I am really looking forward to the new and varied nature of this post.  I have worked closely alongside Chris Hodson for a number of years at Rothera Dowson and will continue to look to him for support and guidance in this new role”.

Amanda was brought up in Buxton.  She studied law in Birmingham and joined Rothera Dowson in 1991.  She was made a partner in 1994 and is now head of the commercial property team.  She is married to Tom, a fellow commercial property partner and a lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army.  Tom having joined Rothera Dowson in 2002 Amanda comments that they thrive on the challenge of working together.

Amanda and Tom live in Weston-on-Trent in Derbyshire and have two children, Georgina (13) and Annabel (10).  The family enjoy going to the theatre and to concerts.  Amanda also takes an interest in football and is hopeful that members of Nottinghamshire congregations will not hold against her the fact that she is a Derby County fan!
